Detailing The Car

Daily Wisdom 03-07-2005 Detailing The Car: "Detailing The Car

'All scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and make us realize what is wrong in our lives.' 2 Timothy 3:16

Once in awhile I will wash my car or take it through the car wash. On very rare occasions, I will even vacuum it. My husband, on the other hand, takes his car to a special wash and wax place on a periodic basis. It is very important to him to have a spotlessly clean car- inside and out. They wash, wax and shine the outside. On the inside they condition the leather, dust all surfaces, vacuum the floor, and honestly, I have seen them use a Q-tip to clean small spaces that have gotten dirty! Windows are washed inside and out, and tires are all shined up with Armoral. They are very precise, that's for sure. They take care of all the details to get the car good and clean.

God is willing to do the same thing in our lives. In the Bible, His Word tells us how to take care of the details of our lives. He will help us with doubts and fears, temptation or guilt, direction, worry, insecurity, wisdom, loneliness, impatient, sadness, anger and frustration. He has answers to our questions about angels and satan, His forgiveness, issues about generosity, holy boldness and family discipline are addressed in His Word. Kindness, mercy, obedience, patience, perseverance and prayer are also topics of discussion.

I believe all the details in our lives- any circumstances we might face- are covered in God's Word. He knows us, for He formed us; and He knows our joys, concerns and needs. Let's turn to Him when the details of life try to weigh us down."
