God's got your back!

"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under
the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and
my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust. ... Thou shalt not be afraid
for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day."
Psalm 91:1-2, 5

God loves impossible circumstances, and He works to solve them in
such a way that only He can get the glory and the credit. The primary reason
He strips us of self-reliance is so that our lives will glorify Him.
When we depend solely on Him for all our needs, wants, and desires, God
is blessed. Still He seeks to eliminate any hint of human pride.

The apostle Paul was an immensely educated man. Yet he knew his knowledge and ability
were nothing in the eyes of God. If he accomplished anything, it was by
God's power through the Holy Spirit. In Philippians he wrote: "I know how to live humbly, and I know how to live in prosperity. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to
be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do
all things through Christ who strengthens me." (2:12-13)

No matter what the situation facing you today contains, God will be
your rear guard and helper. When the odds are stacked up against you, run to
Jesus. Let Him be your strength and strong tower (Psalm 18). Then too
you will say with Paul, I can do all things through Christ who gives me
strength!

"Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against
the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and
wither as the green herb. Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou
dwell in the land and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in
the Lord, and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart." Psalm
37:1-4
